Colorado's First Snow

When you wake up on a Colorado morning after freshly fallen snow, powder graces your eyelids and looking to the sky 360 days of sunshine, powder puffs line the sky!

Boulder is nestled at the Foothills of the Rocky Mountains.  Living in the valley, you can sled, ski and hike, walking up the hill from Broadway and Baseline Road to this majestic site with so many sites and sounds, nature is hiding or vastly abound!

Deer always come down the valley, running here and there.  If you stand very still, they will not be very scared!  Such scenery graced my front yard saying good morning :  there were Colorado Bluebirds, Rabbits and deer, school children crossing my yard year by year!

If you hike or drive to the top of Boulder's Flagstaff Mountain, you look to town and see the University of Colorado and Boulder's town.  Then turn around, and see climbing into the sky, the Colorado Rocky Mountains and the Colorado Continental Divide!

In the evening you will find a blue sky in downtown Boulder and thinking that the snow will never stop you find yourself in silence.  Everyone has found an eatery or a good cup of hot chocolate.   You have found so much to see and do at the 16th Street Mall.

Mom and Pop, Boys and Girls... Come Grandma and Grandpa you're never too old.  The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory at Pearl and 13th on the mall.  If you can't find it here, you can't find it at all.  There is White Chocolate Fudge, and Candy Canes too.  Caramel Apples with sprinkles and Fruity Foot Loops.  There is caramels and creams, toffee and coffee.  There is Old Fashioned Taffy and Peanut Butter Mocha.  Suggestions and Mentions turn into candy inventions!  You must make just one stop here!

Hotel Boulderado, fine eateries during the day.  The Christmas Tree all ready for children to play.  In the evening, fine dinner and an eatery too, for a sandwich and coffee, chocolate milk for little ones too.  When the children are all nestled so snug in their bed, the adults go down to the piano bar in the basement night cap.

You cannot leave Boulder without visiting Into the Wind.  This Kite store has developed into a multi media toy store over the past 30 years.  Every imaginable old fashioned, newly fashioned toy is here. There is a black light room with posters and Galaxy stars and planets glowing in the universe.  There are jacks, and card games, climbing ladders, and squirt guns.  Hula Hoops, and balls, with walking toys and balloons.  Keep your imagination going , it's all here!

If you live here or visit here, keep this on your calendar.  Wings Over the Rockies and in Boulder's Airport there is a show to end all shows.  This year, December 5, 2015 Denver's Wings Over the Rockies hosts the White Christmas Ball.  Advertising soon, Boulder's Airport and Wings Over the Rockies will have a June 2016 Summer Event posted.  Take your wife, your sweetie, or come stag, you will never forget this memorable evening.  Take a look at this wonderful evening of nostalgia where World War II comes alive!  You have to see it to believe it!
